Factfulness by Hans Rosling

I’ve just finished reading Factfulness: Ten Reasons We’re Wrong About the World – and Why Things Are Better Than You Think by Hans Rosling and it was epic!

For a quick taste of what the book is like, watch Han’s TED talk below on poverty, or any of his TED talk really.

Amazing isn’t it? And that was 2007! We’re currently in 2020, how far do you think we have progressed up until now?

I highly recommend Factfulness, it is a very insightful book that I think everyone will enjoy. But if reading isn’t your cup of tea, you can watch his TED talks instead. Also, do check out Gapminder as they have a bunch of really cool resources.

Take their quiz and see how much you really know about the world. Visit Dollar Street and get a feel for how people live on different income levels all over the world. Or play around with the data yourself, or download their offline tool for offline data visualization.

That’s all for today, just wanted to share my excitement here. Wish I could do the topic justice by writing a proper blog post but perhaps another time, my mind is too jumpy right now to think straight.
